Haven't posted on the forum in a long time (in part because i generally reduced my poker play to almost nothing and because i haven't been in Canada for a while).

I am by way of a serious of pleasent coincidences going to be in Vegas tomorrow evening (Tuesday June 24) till likely Thursday June 26. Basicly came to north america to go on an alaskan cruise with family, tacked on a work meeting in san fran which has been cut short so with a free day (and adding a day) i'm going to vegas.

My initial look says it will be impossible for me to play a WSOP event unless i play the $1000 w/ rebuys but i don't think considering how little i have played of late and generally a $1000 rebuy would mean mentally being willing to be in for $5000+ is beyond my comfort. Maybe i will go railbird the 50k HORSE event though.

I may try to play a tournament at ceasars or venetian (staying at the venetian ... btw got a great deal $112 a night including taxes) i've been reading that they have a great deep stack formats

In case anyone else is going to be in any of those tournaments let me know, will try to find you.

Welcome back Chugs, a voice from the past is always welcome.... I'm not in Vegas for WSOP but several forum members are and some are playing either Caesars or Venetian deep/mega stack tournies.. Some of them are 2 day events so make sure you can fit final table in...

Good luck, but 2 days will really be cutting your time short. Hopefully you get to play one though... you should really try and extend the trip longer though

The best tournament choices on June 25 are:

1) 12:00 $200+25 NLHE Caesars Palace, final table the following day at 2 PM.
2) 12:00 $500+40 PLO Venetian, final table the following day at 4 PM.
3) 12:00 $200+30 O/8 Golden Nugget
4) 20:00 $100+25 NLHE Binion's
5) 14:00 180+20 NLHE Binions
6) 14:00 500+40 NLHE Bellagio.

I found a site that offers decent deals...4 nights at MGM Grand + flying out of Toronto for $500 per person etc as long as you are flexible with dates and don't mind one/both flights being red-eyes. Try going to www.usairwaysvacation.com or vegas.com also uses the same search engine.

I will try to register for the Ceasar's Palace tournament and beyond that i'll probably stay anchored at the Venetian poker room for convenience.

Hopefully today goes better than my debakle at the tables last night, i am definitely quite rusty

if you leave on Sunday and return on Thursday, staying at the Stratosphere, $467 US inclusive with only a stopover on the way back. No red eye flights either. Very decent price. Now I'm tempted
