Horrible ruling

If the PCA is following TDA rules, then this is BAD, especially considering DN is a HUGE proponent of players being able to show cards.

2 things...

1) The player who exposed his hand thought that DN had just called so in the end no money was really lost vs. the players 'expectation'.

2) That being said I don't know why the player couldn't re-raise. He didn't forfeit his hand, and I can't understand why DN would care either way, let him re-raise and fold. You saw his hand, knew you were beat and verbally declared after the hand that 'you weren't calling anyway'.

I don't think DN ever expected the hand to be called 'dead' and wasn't shooting an angle because he clearly says to the floor- "I want to know if his bet stands".

Waste of time in this case.

I couldn't get the link to work, trying to make my own copy...

Try that one if you have issues with 13cards link.

Unpossible!

He bet. Dn raised. He went to flip his cards over because he believed DN just called. Realising there was a raise, he concealed his cards and then re-raised. And should have been allowed to do so.

Are you saying that his flipping over his cards was equal to saying "I call" and he was therefore required to call DN's raise??

Personally..

If his hand isn't dead for showing cards in a tourney, he should be allowed to do whatever he wants - call, raise, fold, whatever.

<runs to check - yup... 3 below in hell>

I agree with you 13cards.

this stuff is gonna happen to me live cause i don't have enough experience. i understand both sides. your not allowed to show your cards in a hand right? you only show them at the end, so DN is saying either you showed your cards and the hand is dead or he showed them saying he called. maybe what daniel wanted was a dead hand, but didn't want to be a nit about it?
