Tough break for some forum members but definitely still a good showing. It is definitely one of those times where you want to have you %%% hold.

I guess next time I see some of you guys I have to start pulling in autographs....got a lot of future Sirwatts and Chorons in the making with these kind of numbers in 10K buy ins

Noticed a few familiar names still in the running to start day 3. I think former forumer FREEROLL was still alive but short stacked. GL to all that are left.

Yup, busto. I won't complain about being card dead because it's been an incredible experience.

The 5/5-10/25 cash games have been juicy with huge stacks, including winning a pot from "fishbird", the most annoying Fallsview player whom pkrfce9 previously complained about. When I win a pot, a sore loser sometimes berates me and this time, fishbird shouted as I was leaving the poker room, "Enjoy my money, you bird!"

Day 3 was stopped around 8 PM when there were 27 players left. I am rooting the most for two local players, Bosko Basaric (27th last year) and Glen Witner, both of whom I was discussing strategy with prior to the start of Day 3. There are a bunch of other Canadians left, including Gavin Smith, Marc Karam, Ryan Fisler (last remaining player from Waterloo) and Dashmir Zyli (I think I used to play with him in the free bar tour, & his seat also cost him just a $170 satellite).

Hi All,

If this doesn't belong here sorry.

I would like anyone’s input on how you would have played this hand.

WPT – NAPC
Blinds are 2000/4000 Ante 500
There is roughly 10 minutes left of this blind, then will increase to 3000/6000 with 500 ante. The play for the most part has been really tight. Generally, any decent raise takes the pot.

I have 102,000 in chips

9 handed.
I’m in seat 3
Button is on seat 4
Small blind seat 5
Big blind seat 6
Seat 7 folds
Seat 8 raises to 21,000 My read on seat 8 is highly aggressive. He has been raising with any King or any Ace
Seat 9 folds
Seat 1 folds
Seat 2 folds
Seat 3 (Me) pocket 88

I imagine that most forumers have probably read about this hand, but in order to get feedback I will post how I played it after I get some feedback.

Was this a standard raise from her? - or was it an extra large raise?

Has she been raising Kx/Ax from EP (like in this hand)? - or just in position?

It's 21k to call and you have 102k. That's a very awkward ratio. Too risky to push because most of the time you get called you are dominated.

Calling would be terrible because you would basically be set-mining.

I'm leaning towards a fold.
