| What are some of the other events you are considering?
I might have a chance to be in Vegas during the WSOP this year. What events other than the ME are you folks considering entering?

I am going to the WPT Championship.
We have our flight and room booked, all we have to do is win a seat in the main event!

The way SirWatts has been ducking me - I think that he might qualify for the Ladies Event. He definitely has fallopian tubes.

I am trying to put together a half decent package. So far I have come up with flying out of Buffalo to save on airfare, have any of you Vegas vets ever rented a house from the internet?
I found a great site that I can rent a 4 bedroom house for less than $1000 for 3 adults for a week. Is that a good option, or should I stick to hotels?
If so, which hotels do you suggest?
If we go during the WSOP are there any other tournys going on at other casinos, or is it mainly WSOP geared? I don't know if we can come up with $1500 buy in, so hopefully there is other action.

Ive been looking at a few cheaper events to play.
Ive also been checking out renting a house, but don't have friends that will commit. Id love to get a house for a few weeks and maybe rent a car. It's obviously not feasible to do this on my own, so if anyone else is interested, lemme know.
It makes staying in Vegas for 2 or 3 weeks bearable.
One event I really wanna play is #42 on June 25th, $1500 PLO8.

I didn't think about renting a house...that sounds like a great idea.. Hotels get expensive especially if you want a little more space...But how is the driving to get to these places and what not? These places have shit like cable TV and phone ready to go to?

In my experience staying at Bally's and Orleans, and taking the shuttles to Gold Coast from those, or even if you stay at Harrah's and take a shuttle from there right to Rio, the trip takes a damn long time, a full half hour if you include wait times.
This must sound confusing to some, so here's the best strip map there is. Click on any casino to get a great review or to get to casino's website. http://www.cheapovegas.com/vegas_map.php?map=strip
I just turned 28, so renting a car is easy, and pretty cheap if costs are split.
Most of the places Ive been checking out take 20 min drive to get to strip hotels.
Here is a rental that is top notch, all we could ever need.
1500 a week is expensive, but split 4 maybe 5 ways makes it reasonable.
Search Vegas rentals on this site, there are over 100 listings, some under that look amazing for under 1000 a week: http://www.cyberrentals.com/USA/Neva...as/p127496.htm
Staying at a place like this and helping each other's games on the laptops is something a lot of internet masters are doing.
If this interests anyone, lemme know.
Kev
