Kept up with all the updates the last few days...Moon is a total luckbox, hopefully his luck will wear off by November...
As for my pick, gotta go with Ivey, he may be shortstacked but he's the best!

I agree that Moon is a tool, but he is absolutely the best fit to win this for poker in general.
Imagine how many uneducated, no teeth Southern hicks will take up the game when they learn how much money he won.
rednecks FTW!

Shulman says if he wins, he's throwing the bracelet in the garbage. Has to do with the way Harrah's treats CardPlayer magazine I guess

I'm rooting for Phil Ivey, but Moon will probably take it down.

He's not an idiot. Just hates the third world treatment CardPlayer has been given the past few years during the WSOP. If he wins, I'll bet he throw the bracelet in the trash, and he'll do it in front of the cameras too.

Even if Moon luckboxed his way to the final table, remember, he now has quite a bit of time to study the game like crazy. I still personally like Ivey as he is easily the best at the table, but he will have to probably gamble through some coinflips or 60/40s to make it to the top so really anything is possible.

Think I might lay a few bucks on phil ivey to win it all. How can you go against one of the best players in the world. And he should be getting pretty good odds since he is one of the shorter stacks at the table. One double up and he is right back in the tourney and could be a factor.

I wouldn't count on good odds for Ivey. What he lacks in chips he makes up for in results and experience.

Some sportsbooks with offer up odds on this at some point. They had it last year so can't see them not doing it this year and you'd have to figure Moon and that chipstack would be the prohibitive favorite.

^^^^^^^
another great post by milo
Now it is a bit wonky to say not ivey cause that won't bring donk players to the game. If he plays like he does and not the way he is playing now that will still bring donks to the game trying to play like him.
Will Ivey win it? NO unless he gets at least 2 big double ups he will not win.
With the break it is hard to say if moon will do it even though he is chip leader. The worst to win it is probably Jeff Schulman.
Moral of the story it will likely not matter who wins it.
