Alright..in a discussion with some guys I play online with...(we have a leaderboard that top 100 of the month play for a seat somewhere)...someone said that the WSOP me seat, if they put that one up this month, is a cash payout, not the actual seat....as the WSOP won't allow 3rd party sites to give seats or something to this effect... Anyone know anything about this?

Alot of talk on this on 2p2, looks like that is right, the site will give you the cash or a rep will be there to buy you in, depending on the site. This is what I have heard, not sure if it is accurate or not

PokerStars, Full Tilt will credit your account with 10K within a week. I think the same with UB/AP.

From what I read last year, only the sites that do business in the US are not allowed to purchase a WSOP seat for you. If you win a seat through PartyPoker, Everest or other non-US site, they can buy the seat for you. With PartyPoker, whoever had a WSOP package was forced to play and the entry voucher with your seating assignment was not given until the morning of your starting day. This almost resulted in a catastrophe on the morning of the sold-out Day 1D!
