<beat> Down for the past 2 months! =(

I'm not one to usually complain, but jeez..bad run. I mainly play low-limit SNG's. I track my stats. Everything is on Pstars.

$5.50's regular: 560 games, 26% ROI, 46% ITM.
$6.50's turbos: 498 games, 6% ROI, 41% ITM. (for some reason I can't beat this...that's another problem lol)

Anyway, those are stats including the games below. As you see, I don't play that much. 4-tabling everytime I play.

From the beginning of June:

Last 101, $5.50's: 37% ITM, -$21.50
Last 30, $6.50's: 30% ITM, -$5.90

Any place I can read about SNG's, receive coaching at low limits etc? Keep doing what I do, or do I need to look at how I play differently? PStars confuses me. lol

Colin Moshman's book is good.
Amazon.ca: Sit 'n Go Strategy: Expert Advice for Beating One-Table Poker Tournaments: Collin Moshman: Books

I've been experimenting with SNG Wizard to plug some leaks in my end game

I only play live, but a positive ROI and high ITM seems pretty good to me. If there is anybody else here that plays live SNGs/satellites, I would be willing to share statistics. Once more into the breech at the Fallsview raked satellites....

High ITM, and low ROI means ... lots of 3rd place finishes...

Hows your short handed, headsup game?

Hows your short handed, headsup game?
For $5.50's, 86 (1st), 89 (2nd), 85 (3rd), 82 (4ths)
For $6.50's, 53 (1st), 69 (2nd), 80 (3rd), 76 (4ths)

I know the $6.50's stats are definitely skewed 3rd and bubble. What should a good ratio be for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th?

If the prize structure is 50% for 1st, 30% for 2nd and 20% for 3rd...

Consider: There is a big change in prize money between 2nd and 1st (20%) and 4th and 3rd (20%).
Between 3rd and 2nd there is only a 10% gap.

So....

You want to have lots of 1sts than 2nd and lots more 3rds than 4ths ...

4 handed you want to play tight.

Consider in Harrington on Hold'em where he talks about laying down QQ and only playing AA, and KK for a pot committing bet 4 handed in a SnG.

Once you are 3 handed, you need to go for 1st, not 2nd since the difference between 3rd and 2nd is only 10% but he difference between 1st and 2nd is 20%.

I'm not a sng expert but this might be a place to start looking... tell us more about your results, post your sharkscope and opr rankings so we can analyze...

Purchased the book...to be delivered in a week or so from Amazon. Started playing around with SNG Wizard and seeing some places I should be pushing that I've missed.

Attached is sharkscope graph. Please analyze.

I finally got the monkey off the back and cashed 8 of 12 SNG's yesterday. Hopefully the downswing is over.

I only found one forumer in Sharkscope who is profitable. Are there too many SNG sharks online?
