Beat, my typical Rush Poker Session

I've played 4 2 hour sessions of Rush PLO25 (they don't offer higher) and all my session graphs look like this:

FML...I must be the biggest loser in that game on the entire site:

At least you're honest.... unlike someone around here... It is addictive though isn't it... I'm only playing NLHE, and approx 6 hrs total and am up like $16... Kind of a poor per hr rate but it's great to play for the "rush"....

Well, I'm playing well just running incredibly below EV...hope it turns around before I'm on the street -- at least I can play 800 hands an hour 4 tabling

Hard to see on the graph, but the top line is my expected $ and the bottom is my actual "earnings".

Just played another 1000 hands and ran a bit better.

Hmmm...I just noticed that they do, infact, have Rush PLO50. Either it's new or I had something clicked incorrectly in the lobby -- prepare for massive downswongs!

I've played 12,000 hands since Saturday (2-tabling Rush; NL10 due to tiny funds on FTP; 9-max) - that's about as many hands as I played in all of 2009. If it wasn't for rakeback and deposit bonuses, I'd be down several buy-ins! I've been up and down +/- $100 or so; stack keeps climbing upward to ~ 200 x BB, then I pick up AA or KK and get stacked; rinse, repeat.

Usually the problem occurs when I raise from late position, get 3-bet by a blind who thinks I'm stealing, I 4-bet for 1/3 of stack, he calls. Flop is 9 to J high; opponent checks, I bet, he pushes, I contemplate... call... and he shows bottom two pair or bottom set - which of course holds up. Happens about every 200 hands (15 minutes?).

I'm pretty sure I'd be MUCH further ahead if I folded big pairs pre-flop.

for rush, do you have the same amount of time to decide on your hand? are the blinds equally distributed (your not in the BB four hands in a row, etc.)?

anyone have any idea how long it would take to clear the FTP bonus 2-tabling $50NL, say you deposit $500?

Rush Poker – Play The World's Fastest Poker Game - Full Tilt Poker

Big blind is attributed to the player who has posted it least recently. Other positions are random, AFAIK. For instance, I have had the button 3 or even 4 times in a row; ditto for small blind and other positions, but not the big blind.

I'm 2-tabling $10NL to clear a $110 bonus, and I'm getting $11 released every 3-4 hours (~ 1000-1500 hands). Assuming FTP points scale linearly, you could expect $50 released in the same time period.

*EDIT* They have a "late night happy hour" from 11pm-1am EST during which you earn points at twice the rate... so ymmv.

I was playin nl50 for a while, ran so far subEV that I grew tired of it though, guy bluffs flop, bluffs turn and makes bottom set on the river.. as well as some other sick drawouts. Seems like everyone's running bad at this

Rush is drying up pretty quickly. Was doing pretty good for a while, then the last few days hit a disgusting downswing. I guess it's a good thing that I'm running above EV, but when you go a few days where you can't hit a damn thing it gets pretty bad. At the point where just opening Full Tilt pisses me off. Definitely taking a few days off.

90% of these hands are from Rush 10NL

My first 4 sessions were 10bi+ subEV EACH. It's below my usual stakes, so not a big deal but I haven't run this badly ever at online PLO. Could just be normal variance...I'm going to keep playing and see what happens

  • 3013 hands played in rush poker at $0.05+$0.10 level at present
  • $83.92 profit
and that's about 6 sessions of about one hour each. obviously not a huge sample size, but you guys can hate rush poker all you want. i don't mind one bit.

i also love the volume of hands i can play in such a short time. played yesterday and today for less than three hours total and logged about 853 hands. let's not forget that some of that time was during happy hour and therefore doubled the points gained.
