Pot limit holdem

Dave, I have encountered the following situation several times over the last couple of months and I am wondering what the best way to play the hand is.

Here is the situation.
POtlimit holdem online ring game blinds are $0.10 $0.25
I have approx $50
I am the small blind and I have JJ
UTG makes is $0.75
2 callers to me I decide to only call
Big Blind calls
FLop is Kd Jd 5c
there is approx $4 in the pot
the preflop raiser has $15 in chips, one of the callers has $40 and the big blind has $35.
I bet out $3
the BB raises to $6 the pre flop raiser calls and one other player calls
back to me. I reraise the pot which puts all remaining players all in.
Is this the correct thing to do? I certainly feel like I have the best hand at the moment but my concern is that at least one player has the flush draw and will not fold on the flop but may fold on the turn if they miss the draw. Should I just call the extra $3 and then bet the pot if no diamond drops on the turn or did I play it correctly.

By the way the BB and the preflop raiser both called all in for less than me, the flush hit the river and the preflop raiser had A 7 of diamonds and won the pot. It didnt matter what I did on this hand the flush draw wasnt folding since he only had $15 and the pot was worth chasing his flush.
If one of the big stacks had the flush draw maybe they would have folded on the turn if I had played it differently.

Also looking back I wonder if I should have considered reraising preflop. I just hate my position here and was quite willing to take the flop cheaply and play from there. What do you think?

Nothing wrong with flat calling a small-ish raise with JJ in PL I think. You can play JJ like an implied odds hand.

Lots of people *hate* JJ, but I'm getting to like it's dual-nature more and more. In terms of varying your pre-flop play in PL/NL, this is a great hand to do so with.

I certainly agree with betting out on the flop. Re-raising the maximum on the flop here is how I would have played it.

I like sometimes using the "wait until the turn" move. This move has considerably more punch if you're playing NL when you can overbet the pot on the turn. You can't do this in PL by definition.

Your opponents' stacks sound small enough that even if you set them in after a turn brick, they still might not be able to get away from the hand.

I think you were losing your money on this hand regardless. I would have played it the same.

P.S. You want the flush to call here. Your ahead more than three to one at this point and still have outs against the flush.

Jamie.

Calling is OK. Calling will tend to make it harder to play post flop since you have almost no clue to the other players' hands.

I favour raising. If someone puts in a BIG re-raise you can fold pre-flop. Otherwise, you are seeing the flop and you will have (1) limited the field; and (2) defined your hand.

I favour betting out in this spot. You are only going to make any money with our set if "someone has something" so you might as well starting building the pot so you can make some BIG bets on the turn or as a re-raise.

If the will fold on the turn, the you should re-raise and get them all in NOW. Do not let them get away.

However, if they will call with their flush draws on the turn (and many players in a $0.10-0.25 game will) then you are better off waiting until the turn when they have even less of chance of getting away from you.

This will depend upon your opponents. In this game I probably simply pound it in on the flop and cross my fingers.
