Would you play in the league if you could win this....

Here is the deal, if we can get a lot of people to play in the next league, we can offer much better prizes, so here is what I would like to know. Would you play in a league with this kind of structure:
  1. 5 week league with buy ins ranging from $10 to $25 (those with higher buy-ins are worth more points)
  2. Some cash prizes, some direct buy-ins to our satellites to major online tourneys
  3. Winner gets a seat to one of the minor WSOP packages (worth about $2000)
Please vote as I need to get an idea if this is feasible. We would probably need quite a few people to make something like this happen.

Not sure I understand 3. You want a live final tourney to play for a seat? I would just keep it online. Would rather a seat for a wpt canada event to keep it a canadian flavour, though i don't know of any other events right now.

The package would prob be for the winner of the league actually, I'll fix it. I like the idea of keeping the Canadian... I can check into WPT events also. Everything for the league would be done online.

If you want to keep it Canadian, why not have the goal/prize a/some CPT events? Personally, I would much rather play a $1000-1500 CPT event (I assume a decent structure?) than the crapshoot structure (unless it's changed) of the $1500 events at the WSOP.

I would really like to play, but there is no way I could play all of the events in a league -- would the prize structure be total points or top x amount of finishes towrads a leaderboard? If total points (ie whoever plays the most events is most likely to get the most points) then I'd likely not participate.

Would the events include games other than NLH? (Sorry I have no clue how the last league worked).

What nights/days are the events to be scheduled?

I vote yes.

How about one of these (for Ontario players) and I would think there would be more than a few out west?

What about CPT event of your choice at a given buy-in? That way it doesn't matter which side of the country you're on.

Right now the CPT does not really exist.

That's why I also suggested that there would be some other tourney's out west.
