Ching Hill Casino Day!

Just putting this out there to see if there's any interest.

In the past, after the season ends, we've held a Season Ending Party at someone's place. Often consisted of a couple of small buyin tourney's, complete with Polish Poker, as well as some dealer's choice games, and maybe some cash game...all with liberal amounts of alcohol available.

We haven't had a party in awhile, and there was some mention of maybe a bunch of us just getting together and going to a casino and play there for the day. So I'm opening this up to see how many would be interested in invading one of the provincial gambling dens.

Looking at Saturday March 19, meeting someplace, nominating a DD (poor bastard), and heading out early after calling ahead to reserve.

Who's interested...and more importantly, which establishment should we bless with our presence??

A - Fallsview ($2/$5 NL minimum game)
B - Niagara (I believe they still run a $1/$2 game)
C - Rama (never been, but I'm sure they have 1/2 as well)
D - GBH (would be nice if they were hosting a tourney, but not sure...also, not sure if they run NL or not)
E - Brantford (limit only)

If you're game, post on this thread, and we'll work out the details. Include your preference of establishment as well, and if you would volunteer to be the DD for the rest of us, hey, great! Saves us from doing Rock/Paper/Scissors/Lizard/Spock.

Hey AJ.

I like the idea of an end-of-season party. As for the 19th, I'm playing in the VIP Tour game in Richmond Hill (haven't been there before, so going to give it a try). As for going to a casino and playing cash games, I'd rather go and try to get someone else's money. Given the number of tables at the Ontario casinos, I'm sure we'd be playing against each other. Kinda defeats the purpose of an end-of-season party.

How about if a bunch of us go to the VIP tourney in Richmond Hill on the 19th? Peter (Athenios) tells me the tourney isn't well stocked but the cash games are. Anyone else been there?

As for the end-of-season party for Season 17, I'd be happy to host the end of season party in the format you suggest - small buy-in tourneys, dealers choice, etc. I have room for 2 tables / 20 people. Just have to clear it with the 'boss'.

My 2 cents. Thanks again for all your efforts. It doesn't go un-noticed.

Tom

AJ I have been to Rogers (VIP) a number of times. If you give him a call he would be pleased to host your group. He has 3 large professional tables and a couple of good folders. Some good pictures on the site All Photo Albums - VIP Poker Tour (Richmond Hill, ON) - Meetup
PM me if you would like his contact number.

Is this exclusive to this seasons players? I'm interested, although this Saturday is a tad quick.

You're a member of the elite club anyway, Johnnie. Open to anyone who HAS played ANY Ching Hill game, or any Saturday games...or has ever planned on playing or dreamt of playing on The Hill.

Should cover just about everyone I think.

I know this is mostly a joke, but it did kinda make my day.

If it's this Saturday, I'll need to clear it with the boss first. Put me down as a (T), "Westside8" level

26th works for me if most are able. I'll send out an email later today for those who don't frequent the forum and see if anymore are interested.

So its either a casino run or a Wetts Event, right?
