Not only do most look stupid wearing sunglasses inside especially at a poker table. Eyes do give tells but body language tells a pretty good story too.
I was in a hand not too long ago, 9-10 in my hand. Flop was 7-k-9 .
Young guy maybe early 20's sitting in his chair slumped down looking uncompfortable raised $40.00.
I called.
Turn was a 4. He raised again. $85.00 . I looked as he kind of squirmed a little.
How Much left behind I asked. $120.00 he replied kind of nervous.
Call.
River was an ace. I watched his reaction as the dealer flipped over the river card. His lower lip dropped a bit. I figured he was going to make another stab at the pot. He raised another $60.00
Since we were the only 2 left in the hand I looked at him and said." Take the stupid sunglasses off they will wreck your eyes eventually and sit up straight maybe you will be a little more believable. I called and opened up my hand showing my pair of nines, He shook his head and mucked his cards. He got up and left. | Wouldn't it be amazing if he caught the river and you got caught making a big speech...and on top of that...he slow rolled you. Man, that would be even more epic.
I think sunglasses at cash games is kind of stupid. It seems ok and accepted during tournaments. Can I get people's input on the gunnars? They show significant improvement for people who suffer headaches from staying on their computer too long, but anyone have them that never had these problems before.
