Here there's not only money in the pot, but it represents nearly 1/3 of our stack.
although this concept isn't new for me i realized it recently and am working it into my game. well its pot odds/hand equity i guess, but specifically that money we put in the pot is no longer ours....

you WILL find a better spot, if it was Q9 or something ya probably, you stack and what you have, odds are you will get a better hand, its better to shove than call when you wonder

The correct answer is probably call at $50+ and fold at <$50 or something. Maybe $109 is the line. I'd basically never fold at $150+ (not including sunday majors) because even the randoms are shoving super wide here.

theres no such things as a better spot really. any competent villains shove range here is going to be at least all non ex shoves with 10 effective bbs. Its been said before if the big blind isn't calling perfectly then the villain can shove even wider. J8s is part of the equilibrium calling range, but look at how many people here don't call with it? Its very safe to assume villain is jamming wider than the nash shoves, so J8s is an easy call.

I find most people shove closest to correct from the sb, and many jam wider.
