1st hand yes. You are really short here, and if called (not very likely) you really are not in that bad of shape. The only guy I am worried (a bit) is the SB.

2nd hand would really depend on how nitty the table is, but I'd prob open shove there.

I found when I used to play these, that people fold waaaayyy to much.

I agree with yes and no. In the second hand, there's more people to get through and more really short stacks. If the SB, CO and button had like >8bb, I'd be more okay with a shove.
