| UTG raising
just curious to hear some opinions on UTG raising. i've read before that an UTG raise should be a little smaller than average (like 2 to 2.5 BBs) since there are so many people still left to act that if you get reraised you can let go of the hand without losing too much.
on the other hand, i've heard the opposite that raising larger UTG suggests that you have a big hand and will deter others from reraising and pushing you off the hand.
it obviously matters about the general style of play at the table among other factors, but i'd still like to hear what other's general opinions about UTG raising.
(side note: there is the assumption that you have some sort of hand and are not attempting to "steal" or bluff)
