Help with "out" calculations.

Here's hoping this would be the right thread to post this (and yes I do love you too Kristy).

Obviously I just limp as the odds are there to just look at the flop. When he shoves, I have what I count as 17 outs to make my hand and his all in is not all that threatening to me, though he either a) has a hand and I know I will need to hit mine to crack his or b) its a bluff at the pot in position and I would still need to hit to beat his bluff. Is there any reason at all that this would be a fold?

9 spades
3 3's
3 7's

15 outs
You double counted the 3s and 7s

I prob snap shove to isolate (assuming my outs are good). He has less than a pot bet left as there is 1975 in the pot. You don't get a much better flop for your limp.

ahh yes. Ok 15 outs. Thanks Hobbes. But still, any reason it should be a fold? Just trying to understand when this would be a good idea to call and when it may not.

As long as you're unconcerned about the players left to act, I shove. 15 outs twice is enough to make me forget where to go to click "fold". A call might induce one of them to shove (or call), though, so you might want to get greedy.

My $0.02 . . .

I agree a reshove would be warranted if I am infact going to atleast call, at most tables. I definately was not concerned about the 2 behind me at all because if I was playing, even just flat calling his all in they were folding guaranteed.

nah call ..this flop is the reason you played 5/6ss.

I don't really see any reason to over shove..it is one of those situations where you'd just push out hands you're beating and nothing else.

I hope it hit!

Yes this flop is the reason I play this hand in the first place. I just call. The reason I did this was because on the off chance one of the other 2 behind call as well and I do hit, I know I am getting paid. As stated earlier, I truely was not concerned about a call or a re-pop from either of them.

As it turns out....

1st... you should not admit to a forum largley male populated that you all suck :P

In my opinion I do not think its ever a fold either. Just thought I would ask to see if maybe there is something I am missing, as everyone here is +++ in the experience area than I am.
