What should I have done?

All in all it was a great tournament. I had him on minimum a draw, more likely a big pair. I know the min raise could have been higher, but he had a stack and was calling anyways with a pair (in retrospect), and I was looking for the re-raise preflop as was happening every hand..I should know better heh. Any advice would be welcome.

Oh, and though I was out, I am quite pleased with my finish..

Definitely not a fan of the UTG min r. Even at the micro stakes, you make it 5xbb there and the other big stack is (probably) going to fold. Seeing as there is only one other monster stack at the table, I'm more of a fan of making a large raise so that people think I'm trying to bully and they make a mistake with a weak A or K.

Don't like the pf min raise.

Don't like the post flop raise then continuation after getting raised after your re-raise.

In fact all of your bets are kind of weak (ie. 1.5-2.5x the pot) just asking to get outdrawn.

And like Johnnie said, don't get married to your hand.

Thanks for the good advice. I am still fairly new at this and all feedback is great. I need to remember it is better to win a small pot vs losing the big one. Now had I raised say to 5xbb and he came out and reraised again...do you push or again reraise him? I have seen that senario too and even had the betting been more aggressive to start, even to the point where we are aipf the result would be the same. I can't imagine anyone folding AA preflop no matter how many raises are put in.

although im newish, year or so, i think can answer this...never fold allin preflop. unless in tourney play and its a payout decision. or if your at a sitngo on the bb and the rest of the table is all in. and its possible he woulda called but you woulda made the correct play. its more likely he would fold and if not then you know hes overplaying pairs at the very least.

GJ on learning, but if you ever fold AA to a 3bet preflop, pick up a new game.
Only time its ok to fold AA preflop is if you're in a satelliete tourny, you're exactly on the bubble (obviously more then 5 seats get the prize), you haven't put any chips in the pot yet, and another monster stack that has you covered shoves all in against a shorty in the blinds. That really is the only time i'd consider folding AA.
