2 Questions

Hi, new here sooooo yeah.

First Question: Betting Patterns? How do you use this to your advantage if your opponent is all over the place?

Second Question: How do you play this opponent who is all over the place? He's willing to chase down to the river with a 2-pair, willing to chase down to the river with low-straight draws and such.

Keep a straight face, Accept when he/she wins gracefully, DO NOT RUB YOUR HANDS TOGETHER when you take pots from him/her more than you have to have the fake smile!

Don't bluff calling stations.

Don't try to play fancy and steal pots from calling stations.

Extract a lot of value by betting your good hands into calling stations. Bet enough to make them make bad calls.

Play as many hands as possible in position against them, especially if they are passive.

Easiest opponent to play against, though can be frustrating when their bad draws hit. A lot of players misplay against these guys by bluff shoving then getting mad when their J 9 gets called by K2 suited.

Keep your eyes open and a pattern will emerge. Most spazzy players are not smart enough to balance their range so their bet sizes are usually for a reason.


FWIW - overbets are almost always the nuts.

Thanks for all the input.

I've just started playing with this 'new' guy and he's been getting lucky on me. I guess I'll just stick with my game plan.

-Raise 3x when I have a hand, and burn him on every street if he wants to chase and fold when he raises. Don't raise with nothing?




And here is an example of a play.
I have
25/50 blinds. I raise to 150. He calls.
Flop comes .
I check-raise 300. He calls.
Turn comes . I call-raise 100 to 200. He calls.
River comes . He puts in 500.


Does he have the flush?




-What if I get burned? Twice? Also this isn't HU, but no one else wants to go up against him unless they have premium hands.

-Reading him is quite hard. He doesn't play MUCH poker and he doesn't fit in to many of the common tells... (or maybe I was too pissed to read them)




He once raised post-flop 500 saying "Well, I guess I'm going to raise to uhhh 500"
I called it with TPTK only to have him show me a




flop: --(He bet 500)
turn: --(He called 200)
river: --(He bet 300)

I had
He had

Did I play it wrong?
He also pre-flop called 150. I put him on 10-Jack suited. After flop I put him on Queen pair, low kicker.

i cant say much because its only one hand.

but kQ dont match good against a raise, again it depends on a player.

he was ahead of you pre-flop

You should of ask your self this Question.

WHAT CAN YOU BEAT WITH YOUR KQ.

AX he is ahead, there is not much hand you can beat when someone raise and you hold KQ, KJ, Suits dont matter to me.

Again this is just my openion, im pretty sure there is 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 0000000000000000000000 IDEAS (OPENION). THANKS.
