4 Days With Phil Ivey

ESPN followed Phil Ivey around for 4 days. From private jets to high stakes craps gambling it is a pretty cool insight to some of Ivey's degenerate ways off of the poker tables:

watched it, thought it was pretty pathetic. From flipping burgers at McDonalds to sleeping on the boardwalk in Atlantic City. Good thing he had poker to fall back on. Kind of glad he lost the main event. Most of these 'pros' are lucky they were in the right place at the right time.

Maybe we can make a related video for youtube called 4 Days with PokerForum.ca's Phill Ivey. What exciting things do you do that could go in the video?

You can say that about ALOT of them. But isn't that what life is all about in a nutshell?

not sure why he would bother with a trip to Montreal? I think it was just to gamble with no promo work on the side. Seems to spend most of his time travelling with limited gambling time. Seems to be mostly a loner. Where are all the ladies Phil??

ya thought Montreal was weird, i am sure the casinos did not like the 20 minute,30 minute play time and leave a winner

Lots of people are in the "right place at the right time." The vast majority squander the opportunity. Ivey did not. Good for him.

+1 to post above,

I think everyone has that 1 defining moment in life (or phase) that propells them either to greatness or the abyss.

I figure that the trip to Montreal was a convenient stopover, so that he would not be in the air straight from Las Vegas all the way to Europe.

As for the ladies, did you not see the part where it talks about his wife?
