I was wondering if anybody knows of a site that takes canadian dollars at par, or only takes canadian dollars?

What do you mean: "at par"?

I know there were some where you could play in Canadian, but nothing is coming to mind.

Lol, like any poker site is going to give you US$ for CDN$ at par..... If you find any please let us know.....

However I think g2 will give you Nigerian $'s at par....

On a more serious note I think there were a couple of sites where you could play in CDN $'s but not no more to my knowledge....
And why would you want to limit yourself to playing in CDN anyways... We're all great poker players here in Canada... Just ask us..

When the exchange rate is $1 US for $.80 Canadian, why would any site lose about $.20 per dollar

On $100, that's $20..

Sites are not stupid...

As for taking Canadian $$$, all sites that I've played on do, they just give you the exchange rate and let you go from there. So a $50 deposit gives you a balance of approx. $40.07.

For my currency exchanges I use:

Daily currency converter- Exchange Rates- Rates and Statistics- Bank of Canada

I forsee a future of the OP rolling Canadian quarters into rolls , bringing them to the US, and cackling while making scheming evil mastermind motions with his fingers if he gets away with it.

This is the higher end of the expectations by the way
