| Cash Game Question – Extraction
Hello Homies!
I have been playing exclusively NL cash games at Low Limits lately. 6 max on Stars and 5 max on Supreme. Supreme is Uber-soft FYI.
My attempt is to play TAG positional poker until I get some solid reads and then adjust my play. When I am involved in a pot I play fast and I continuation bet almost 80% of the time. My VPIP is usually between 20-25% for all you Pokertracker junkies.
I do not feel that I am extracting enough profit when I do flop HUGE. My thoughts are that when you hit big hands you want to play big pots and when I nail a flop from position I almost always C-bet. Conventionally one would think I would still get a fair amount of action here because I C-bet everything. I would be willing to call here if someone else leads out after the flop but it always seems to check through to me I bet and the rest fold. Unfortunately I only seem to stack the fools that are unable to fold over pairs.
Does it make sense for me to slow down in these situations a majority of the time? (I do sometimes to mix it up) Check the flop, check the turn and wait for someone to catch up? Is it any more profitable to let the opponent catch up a bit?
Can anyone make an argument for this?
