white 1
red 5
green 25
black 100

If you run with standard colours you won't get screwed up when you go to a casino to play. People who come to your game will find it easier to fit in and it will make your game more popular for new players.
100x to 500x big blinds is a good amount to start with.
Why not start by playing cash games with .25/.50 blinds. Use blue chips for .25 and have everyone buy in for $50.
