Hellmuth is an idiot/UB shill. No way any sane business-minded person from any of the big poker sites would team up with Ultimate Bet or Absolute Poker. Those are probably the 2 biggest poker sites that I do not trust on the Internet. The WSOP isn't going anywhere. For example, a lot of people hate the IOC, but that doesn't mean the Olympics will be replaced by another organization. How can he possibly whine about not getting a free hotel room  Shouldn't UB be paying for that anyway since he is there representing THEM not the interests of Harrahs!

UB should have footed the bill for their pros. But honestly, I wouldn't even trust any freebies from UB.
They will never live down the embarressment of the scandal, no matter how much senior level management gets changed. They'd be much better off shutting UB/AP down and reopening in six months under a new name. The Ultimate Bet brand name is forever tarnished.

was pretty sure he had kings.... tough to call 250k with one pair, at least at that time in poker.... now would be a different story | |
