Help ... I can't stop bluffing in Limit

I just can't seem to help myself. I keep picking out these players who are rocks. Basicly i can call almost any of there raises, and just check raise them on the turn with anything. They think darn i got check raised on the turn, guy must have a monster and fold. It's become like a silly game, and the problem is it works way more than it fails.

Still it must be a -EV play to be doing on a regular basis. I just find it so amusing cause these are generally solid players, but they don't seem to pick up on the fact that, without fail i'm basicly check raising them every time on the turn.

What i'm wondering is do you think this is simply expoiting, a timidness that most books teach when it comes to getting check raised on the turn.

Yup, if you have a read on a player as weak-tight, no reason not to do it.

If its paying off, I see no reason to stop, but if you start getting burned too often you may want to tighten up a bit!

Many winning players play ABC poker who make general assumptions about the competition. They're usually playing mutiple tables. Winning players playing multiple tables are generally rocks and winning a small pot against one player is not a +EV play for them. So, always check to see which players are playing multiple tables as it will give you another clue on who to exploit.

The reason the turn c/r bluff is not a +EV play for winning players playing multiple tables is that they need to generalize on the skills of their opposition. Most (say 9 out of 10) players will not be able to execute a turn c/r bluff. So, if you're facing a turn c/r, I would say you should expect the obvious, two-pair or better.

Personally, I'm very selective on who I make this play with and there has to be enough cheese in the middle to make it worthwhile. I would say the best time to make the move is usually if there were four or more players who saw the flop and you're on the right of the bettor AND it's folded to you. This play has a much higher degree of success against one player.

Also the beauty of this play is that if you get caught, you have a maniac image. Now, you can c/r your monsters at the river, and you'll often have the pot capped.

Cheers
