just gunna give up on online.

im just fed up with online poker. im not trying to say that its all rigid but i just can understand why i just can get anything going. have deposited 4 times in the last 2 months only to go busto. can not stand playing the micros but im just not comfortable with putting a huge part of my roll online so i can play the stakes that i play live.

played in a 80 tourney lastnite at my local cardroom and came 3rd. score 650. but when it comes to online it just never seems too be there.

i dunno, i guess i will just stick to the live grind and play the cards as they lie (in my left hand where they belong.)

just maybe looking for the forums thoughts, i know some of you play at higher stakes and im just wondering what you did to get thro the dread of online busto.

if your not winning at micro stakes its likely youll win less at any higher stakes

but what are you looking for here...i don't really play high stakes some mid and a lot of micro but if you make more +ev plays i promise youll win more!

I am the same right now also, just can't get anything going, can come close to getting deep itm but fall just short everytime.

I am really considering coaching but paying like 50 bucks a hour is not optimal for the levels I play at.

If it slows down at work after the christmas rush I may look at applying for team moshman again but not sure.

I was playing on stars but I just got fed up and withdrew my roll and now keeping a eye on a couple of other sites and may try those.

I have an account on pkr. At the .10/.25c too the .50/1.00 there is some fish but the only thing is you can get the volume in with so few hands an hour. ( fr. about 45/hr)

I make lots of money playing live but I don't enjoy playing online at all. If you don't enjoy playing you aren't going to work on your game or win.

What are the important terms for Team Moshman? When I eventually reach that point when online gets too tough and I become only a break-even player that makes money through rakeback/promotions, my choice will be either to look for a tournament coach or retire from grinding to spend more time with my family.

I'm just looking for a place to vent. And I'm not looking to play much higher stakes, just maybe 1/2 or 2/4.

I'm a winning player at 2/5nl live with a 6 buyin br. Even play 3/6 somtimes(shortstack) and am quite comfortable playig there but I can't catch a break online

okok...ya the skill level is obv higher online...i mean live 2/5 is prob around 25nl and 50nl.....i could be off on that though its just an estimate....

also what this shows though is youre not adapting your game to online....which makes sense...and im sure you have a live advantage over online players (ive dealt with it myself being strictly online)....but they certainly can identify you as a live type player and have an advantage online vs you....

but with venting i hear ya....awful game

Ah, so it's the site that matters and not your play. Please let us know when you find one that we can all consistently win at.

GTA Poker and Hobbes like this.

Agree completely... 1/2 live equivalent to 25NL online, both of which I can get ahead at. Soon as I move up 1 level at either, can't make a dime consistantly.. Pretty sure it's because I tighten up too much..
It's neither the poker room or site, it's me...
