As I said, if you have read some books, there isn't really anything "new" to learn. Just a different perspective or point of view on some of the topics.
Thinking about your game is the way for most middle-players to improve.
The topics were varied and it is tough to cover areas in depth in only 4 hours with a varied-skill audience. One of my fav parts was Q&A with an expert. We used to have the "Ask an expert" area here. Some good discussions resulted, but it has been dry there of late.
