Just Jacks school

I think there is a thread started about this already but I can't find it. Has anyone gone to these camps and what are they like?

This was the thread posted a week ago (Best Chance for the WSOP). If you are seasoned and have read a couple of books, I'd say it isn't worth the $90. However if you can get in free, like I did, then it was a good way to kill an afternoon. Can't argue with the freeroll for $10K @ WSOP at the end.

Did you learn anything new? How was the instructor?

As I said, if you have read some books, there isn't really anything "new" to learn. Just a different perspective or point of view on some of the topics.

Thinking about your game is the way for most middle-players to improve.

The topics were varied and it is tough to cover areas in depth in only 4 hours with a varied-skill audience. One of my fav parts was Q&A with an expert. We used to have the "Ask an expert" area here. Some good discussions resulted, but it has been dry there of late.
