| Kitchener-Waterloo area, question to those who play there.
Do you think the Kitchener-Waterloo could use another poker room like Bristol and the like?

I don't think so.Â* Most months, there are at least 4 larger home tourneys (4-5 tables) and a WestSide, as well as numerous smaller home games.Â* And a short drive to Guelph opens up a ton more, with there large and growing community.Â* Personally, my schedule doesn't allow me to keep up (I "only" played 3 nights this week and had to decline 2 other games).Â* This month is so busy (with KPS, Legends, and Westside) that I'm not even hosting my normal weekend tournament (although I'm planning a Tuesday night event).
And if you can't find enough poker in KW...<speechless>

yes, because that statement was very hurtful and wrong. Next time i will do extensive research before asking where people play. Sorry about that. (note. SARCASM).

I didn't take any offense to the comment at all, to answer you though I usually play at the Bristol st. events, West Sides, Cook Crew and the KPS tournaments. All very well run. I used to run games at my house but their really isn't a need for it now, I also find it easier to just play rather then play and host at the same time. I think the most i had at my house once was 46 players, wow!

I wasn't offended either, though I appreciate the defense by my favorite big-man (for now!)
I "organized" the KWGM, but I find it quite difficult to host anything because of my current living arrangements. I live with my g/f in her sister's (and husband - "Ineedanick" Dave AKA KWGMI CHAMPION) basement. So, firstly, it's not my place, I rent the basement, and we have a 7 month old living in the place.... makes hosting a little inconveniant. However, I do plan on hosting when I can get out on my own!

i just thought brent's response was a little...over the top..for my question.
Glad no one was offended...do you guys play in weekly games, rather than just the "major" tourneys we have around here? I play with a bunch of people and we get together every week..i'd like to broaden my playing pool and hopefully learn something...so i was trying to find out where you guys play!

M | Mark (Quiane)...
You should come out to Kitchener sometime and try out any of the tournaments listed above. They almost always get atleast 24 players and the fields are generally very tough. I know you were at Cook Crew tournament last time, what did you think of that? I don't play in any regular weekly game here, I don't believe there is one with most of the guys I know. Except for Sloths weekly 1/2NL cash game. I used to play in that one a bit but now mostly just play tournaments.
