| Re: Montreal Bust
Considering the popularity of poker these days it will be interesting to see what happens in court. What I mean is that it is no longer a "big bad evil" to be involved in a poker game and just like with pot, Judges were regularly rubber stamping small possesion charges with "absolute discharges" long before the feds started talking about changing laws.
I did sympathize with this excert from the post(with a knowing chuckle), Anyhow, as I sat there waiting for something to happen. My hands started to feel like balloons. The officers were settled down now and in between warnings of not to talk, they let some of us have our cuffs in the front. Now, right before they busted in, I had just been dealt my cards. I was on the button with 1.6 x the starting stack (about second in chips). I realized that I never saw my cards! What a poker degenerate!! I peeled my cards and saw that I had AQ on the button! I would have loved to play those cards in that position. I showed them to a regular player across the table and we were both making the missed opportunity face |
