You nailed the answer to the smaller buy in heads up yourself, the extra tables it takes to run them also adds up to huge staffing needs and the rake gets unreasonable fast, but at a larger buy-in is not as much of an issue as it is reasonable percentage. Holding smaller buy-ins HU would be great, but hard to sell to the casino and still have the players happy. Also, while there is no doubt alot of players who love HU and are good at it, not so easy to get even some players with great MTT results to take the plunge. It is a game for the elite, most others are scared of it when it comes down to it, they save their money. That's what makes it a great tourney though, the best scrapping it out!
