From pig farmer to gambling billionaire

The W5 episode on CTV tonight at 7 PM is about how a Saskatchewan pig farmer became an online gambling billionaire (Bodog).

Was interesting to see how often they pushed that it was illegal in Canada...

Nice life down south for him now.

The show ended with a surprising announcement that Ontario is the latest government to consider joining Quebec, BC and Atlantic Canada in setting up its own gambling site just like all the other so-called illegal and evil sites. Online poker for Canadians is +EV-ly fine the way it is, and I don't want the OLG screwing it up like its insider cheating, management abuses and weird gaming regulations.

Too late for that, folks. OLG will, eventually, be the only approved online gambling method for inmates of this province. I could even see them moving to make access to the competition extremely onerous, if not illegal.

We all know the government hates to compete on an even field . . .
