sorry if this was mentioned in a previous thread, but i couldn't find one.

anyone else hear about a new variant called "position poker"?

the way it works is that there are two buttons, the regular one followed by the blinds, and a winner's button that the winner of each pot gets. the winner's button gets to act last in that pot (even after the regular button).

what do you guys think about this? it might be kind of fun. would be a very aggressive table i'd imagine. they say it works best with flop games, but could work with no flop games as well.

Most games that involve a kill pot do exactly this when there is a kill on, with the additional proviso that the kill player has to post an amount equivalent to the big blind before the cards are dealt.

yes, position poker is very similar except that the winner button doesn't post a BB and still gets to act last for the whole hand.

Im up for this type of poker to play somewhere around the area, if anyone wants to set up a small stakes cash game with it PLO or holdem.....set it up!
