saying hey

How's everyone doing?

My name is Ed and I'm fairly certain that I am addicted to hold 'em, or at least that's that people tell me ;-)

I loved poker as a teen and played family "dealer's choice" games for many years. Then in late 2004, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman's words "Accordingly, I have no choice but to announce the formal cancellation of play" is pretty much how I got turned on to hold 'em. Poker was on tv all the time that season and I caught the bug.

I rarely play casino poker and never play online. All of my playing is with friends and the occasional union tournament put on by the CAW. It was at one of those CAW events that I won my biggest cash prize by beating out about 37 other players, it was $400.

9 friends and myself have a league that we started this year. We play for cash and points throughout the season with the ultimate goal of making it to the TOC (Table of Champions). We have played 2 games so far and as of right now I am in 2nd place. Game #3 goes this Friday and I like my chances :-)

I look forward to exploring these boards and throwing in my 2 chips worth!

Haha, well that might be a problem... see, its kinda like cashing in your play money account on Pokerstars. If you can make them do that, then I will do the casino cash too.
