stats question

i was just recently looking through my stats for my last 19,000-ish hands from rush poker. as it turns out, i'm in the positive in every seat position (except the blinds obviously). the lowest i'm up is 90 BBs (in seat 2), although my second worst seat is seat 6 where i'm up over 400 BBs.

is that normal or am i just on a crazy good run? seems a little crazy to be up in every single seat position, doesn't it? should i be bracing for a big downswing?

i'm still pretty new to cash games. this is pretty much my first 19,000 hands i've played. well i might be closer to 25,000, but i only have stats for the last 19,000.

if youre a winning player, you should be up in all seats. as for whether a downswing is coming...um...ya, definitely. downswings are inevitable no matter who you are. and the longer you play, the more of them youll hit. just try and make your upswings bigger.

I was up in all seats (including SB, but not BB) in my first 20,000 hands at $25NL Rush, and was running way above EV; averaging around 8 BB/100. Then I broke even (positive after rakeback and bonuses) for my next 20,000 hands and was running pretty much right on EV. Then I lost 15 buy-ins in 3000 hands last night (that's ~ -50 BB/100), and was way below EV (basically couldn't win a showdown when I had my opponent all-in and dominated on the turn; so many 2- and 3-outers). In short, ~ 50k hands of Rush tells me I'm better at being behind and sucking out than I am at being ahead and holding.

does that mean 20,000 hands isn't a good enough sample size? i guess i'll post again once i reach 50,000

well i've had downswings to some regard. never more than 5 buy-ins yet though. on the other end, i've probably not won more than 10 buy-ins before losing some back.
