No conspiracy to it. No different than hiring a coach to watch you as you play, except it doesn't cost you. Matter of fact, most coaches utilize the exact same structure. You can either sweat one on one, or join a larger group and they all sweat each other. Mostly done on Skype, but some also do it on MSN or some other IM service. Most also use Team Viewer that allows you to share screens.
I've done individual and group sessions. I've found the individual sessions are more player specific while the group sessions debate more theory than anything else, but I haven't done too much of either really.
I more enjoy having a reg player at a slightly higher limit than me sweat my play and comment after the session. He can ask questions to get your train of thought during a hand, but normally does not assist you during play. Afterwards, its Q&A between you both. Makes you think differently about the play.
My personal perference is one on one or small group of four or five. Any more than that, the discussion gets abit confusing, even over mic/speakers.
I'd be willing to organize a small group of members for micro NL cash games, if interested. My Skype is STR82ACE, just add me and whenever you see me online, just flag if interested in sweating one another, or if we get a small group, we can arrange weekly time to get everyone together.
