Yea I've always played turbos just out of habit and the rake I spose, but I've read a few posts lately claiming that a strategic player would fair better in regular sit n gos.

For the most part an aggro player will do better in a regular sit and go in comparison to a turbo because for the most part regular sit and goes play a little tighter.
Just depends on what you are comfortable with.

There are strategies to both types. Depends on what you are comfortable with. The nice thing about turbos (and can put you on tilt sometimes) is how light they call all ins.

Just depends on what you are comfortable with. | So you think most players would be rocks and not donk out as quicky?

For me, it depends on how I feel...if I feel like I am running good, then turbos are alright..and yeah, they do call light at anything under 22 bucks it seems..33's and 55's are tighter.
If I am starting the day, or not running hot, I stick to the regular games...buys me more time to wait for good cards.

Turbo's... more action, faster games. Non-turbo's so many people seem to just sit back waiting for AA, KK, QQ type hands before even playing.

I just prefer the 5 minute blind levels because its easier to control the table once you double up once and like was previouly posted people call and go all in very light...

I've always preferred the value of non-tubros. You have a more time early to exploit each players weakness.
I might try a turbo tonight to see see difference.

If you play short stacks better than deep stacks you should prefer turbos.
If you have less skill than your opponents you should prefer turbos.

Its not a matter of whether you are more skilled at deep stacks or short stacks. Its a matter of which one you hold more of an edge over your opponent. If you hold the relatively the same edge over your opponent deep and short, it would be better to play Turbos because you can get more tournaments in and win more.
You also have to factor in the time. Lets say I can bang out 2 turbos for every normal tournament I play while giving up only a quarter of my edge. Wouldnt it make sense for me to play the turbo despite having less of a skill advantage?
