| When Looking For An Easy Game..
It can be a useful indicator, but as usual there's a big "it depends".
Flop percentage simply gives the information of whether the game is (on average) loose or tight pre-flop. If players are playing too losely pre-flop this may be a good sign.
However, solid players who playing a loose *and* aggressive game can pose difficulties. Also, players playing a little too loosely pre-flop who are playing an extremely solid post-flop game can be troublesome. A lot of pre-flop decisions are close, and while some significant mistakes can be made pre-flop, my feeling is that most bad players (at least in low-limit) give away most of their money on the flop and beyond.
