I started playing these in their last season. Won't make it this week but will be going on the 27th. Very well run by Rocky. All kinds of levels of players. No antes but 20 minute blind levels that increase really quickly. Everyone buys in for the full $100. With 80 people, 1st takes down over $2k. Only tourney I've been to that penalizes players going out-of-turn and the rule is strictly enforced. Good luck!

First instance is you are dealt a hand but it is mucked.

Second instance is you are dealt hands for an orbit, and they are all mucked.

Made it out to YRPL finally last night. Haven't seen this many players at a tournament outside of a casino (96 players). First prize was $2,000. Tournament started around 7:15 as advertised. Structure seemed ok until the 500, 1000 level when I think it starts to jump to 1,000 to 2,000. If you don't have chips by then your done. Tournament aims to finish around 2am so the blinds seem to effectively accomplish this anyways.

There was a cash game after players started to break but the buy-in was pretty tame for my liking. First time I have played 0.50/1.00 blinds with 100 max buy-in, in my life. If I play loose at 1/2, imagine how I played at this game.

Tournament was very well run and it seemed like a good group of guys/gals.

One other odd rule, no talking on cellphones at the table. Its self deal so I guess this keeps things moving.

Lets see if I can make the top 20.

please note that CPF calendar is incorrect. There is no tournament this Friday due to Easter weekend. Tournament #7 will resume on Friday April 13th.
