Fort Mcmurray Anyone?????

Hey guys,

I'm 21 years old and originally from Newfoundland but I have been living in Fort Mcmurray now for almost a year and a half and mainly play online but wondering if there are any home games around. I play at Boomtown every few weeks but I hate their structure. It just turns into a luckfest when your in the money and they are so bad that I can't use the edge I have against them as much, basically because the dealers are so slow, always switching seats, and the tournament director a lot of time is arguing while the clock is still going so you only get a few hands in each level.

Good to get along with and not an ass at the table BTW.

Interested in tournaments from $50-$100 buyins, or 100NL or 200NL. Thanks.

$100+ = 20 minute blinds, 9000 chips (7hrs to win)

$50 = 15 minute blinds, 6000 chips (5 hrs to win)

fair amount of play in most tourney's

Played in the $100+$10+$10 at Yellowhead Friday night. As stated there was decent amount of play with the 9000 chips - unfortunately it was 11 handed until the first break, which bogged things right down). 124 runners, $3700+ for 1st.
My buddy busted in 6th, after almost 7 hours of play.

There's another "deep stack" event there on March 17th ($200+$10+$10 for 15,000 chips (I think) - no word on the structure, but I assume same as prior events.

That was an unusually large amount of players, but happens sometimes on Friday's. I wasn't able to play the tourney but did show up late for some cash play. They generally run 11 handed for all tourneys until the first hour is up......when they will go down to 10 max once players start to get eliminated.

Green beer and poker......what more could you ask for.

Blind structure is the same as the Friday tourney I believe, you just get more chips. Usually get 130+ to these....so again, 8+ hours to win.

Yo Newff!

I host a home game once every 1-3 weeks or so. The buy ins are lower than you're used to though. We play $20 plus $20 re-buy within the first hour if you go bust. I usually play with guys from work, CNRL, but sometimes have trouble getting a game going.

If you're interested I could add you to the list of invites.

Heh Newff, any luck finding a game? If you do let me know, I might be interested in playing. The guys that I play with from work aren't really that into poker but just play for the social aspect and drinking.

How's your game? I'm going crazy and about even over the last 6 months or so. Which is good because I haven't had to deposit but bad because its starting to wear on my patience playing so much and not getting anywhere.

Anyway, let me know about the game.
