I'm headed out to Stettler this weekend for a ball tourney. Was planning on hitting Red Deer for a day of poker. Which is the best room (any Omaha?)....any tourneys this weekend?

Appreciate any input you have.

The poker rooms in Red Deer are pretty lame. Downtown's jackpot has a room, but in two separate visits it was locked with no host even taking names. Cash Casino's room is always open. They had 2 1/2NL tables (max $300 buy) and one Dealers Choice 1/2 PL table where the game changes every hand. It was odd, I watched for a while. Everyone had MONSTER stacks in front of them.

Room is full of regulars and the play was horrible. Best had was a 3-way chop, all players were all in with two pair, all holding 86o and the other 86 on the board. Any two suited, one/two gappers, Ax etc. Full table limps were typical as were half table limp/calls up to around $15. Only had time for a two hour session, ended up down $10. Was pretty meh - looking forward to hitting seneca this weekend.

Not worth playing there. Played at Jackpot in downtown...was a 5/10 limit game. Hard to get together as they don't have a game every night. And the game I was in was a Kill Game. And people still buy in for only 50 bucks! Oh, and it's very loose if you like the action.

Cash Casino has a couple tables as the last reply just mentioned. I felt the same as him about the room.
