#2 | | Tilting for 5 years!! | Lurd Tundering Jezzuz bye...Welcome to the forum....it's great to see more Newfies like us joining in the game.
Unfortunately, as far as I know, there isn't a strong Rock contingent on this forum (not including the Milton Rocks ) but hopefully you can get more Corner Brooke locals to sign up.

Newfoundland seems to be one of the few jurisdictions in the world that allows poker gambling. If I lived in Newfoundland and can't find a poker game, then I would apply for a Games of Chance license and start one up. Quote:

| Poker Games in St. Johns, NL
I know of a lot of games in St. John's.
Dooly's hosts regular Texas Hold'em games at all 3 locations.
Topsail Road has games 6 days a week (7:30pm start), Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday are $25.00 Buy in (No Re-Buys), with a $5.00 Bounty Add-on.
Friday (7:30pm start) is a $25.00 Cover with unlimited $20.00 Re-Buys First Hour and a $20.00 Add-on, with a $5.00 Bounty Add-on.
Saturday is a $60.00 buy-in (No Re-buys) with a $10.00 Bounty Add On.
Kenmount Road has a game on Tuesday (7:30pm start) $25.00 Buy-in (No Re-buys) with a $5.00 Bounty Add-on. Sunday afternoon game (2:30pm start) is $25.00 (No Re-Buys) with a $5.00 Bounty Add-on.
Water Street has a Re-buy game starting at 8:00pm, $25.00 Cover with unlimited $20.00 Re-Buys First Hour and a $20.00 Add-on, with a $5.00 Bounty Add-on.
Players accumulate points as well as each winner of every tournament receives a seat in a quarterly playoff that on average sees the top 5 win a trip to Las Vegas!
Go to http://www pokernl.ca for more details!
Hope this helps.
Thanks

Ontario is so archaic, not allowing paid bar leagues, etc.
