I dont think I've ever seen 2/5 Limit there. They run a 2/5 NL $200 Max games once in a while. I think the limits go 2/4 3/6 4/8 limit and then 1/2 and 2/5 NL. But I havent been there in quite a while so this could all be wrong.

Agree that $100. is more than enough in the 2/4 game... Lol.. However keep in mind that Casino Niagara has changed the number of max white chips you can take to the table. I believe it is now $60. but you can take reds as well. Apparently the problem is they end up with too many physical chips at the table. Jeff..

$80 in white $20 in red. Geez. You hand $100 to the cashier and say 80/20 please and they know exactly what you mean and I posted that when the OP said $2/5. $2/4 is a white chip game. I never use the bank machines at casinos so I always carry extra cash. While it doesn't happen often but you can experience swings of $150 or more. You should keep a min of $48 on the table so you are not likely to run out of chips should you hit a big hand. Keep in mind heads up has no limit on the raises so theoretically you can go even higher than $48.

IMO 100 is fine if you're willing to rebuy frequently. People that suggest that 100 is "more than enough" are full of it though. A B&M 2-4 game will be a wild ride. 100 dollar swings will be the rule rather than the exception. Personally, I hate rebuying at the table, so my standard buy in is 50 big bets, ie $200. However I'd say this big of a buyin is way larger than the TYPICAL buyin for that game. You'll see plenty of people buyin for $50-$100 bucks and go back to their pocket 5-6 times. Of course you'll also see plenty of people limp 24s utg or cold-call 3 bets with A6o...need I go on? Don't worry if people laugh at your "ridiculously" big buyin, since 90% of the people at the B&M don't know @#$ anyways...
I have had a lot of experience at the 2/4 at Casino Niagara. I like to sit with $80-$100.
I agree with BBC Z that it is a white chip game but I usually get $20 in whites and the rest in reds. Probably since I also play 1/2NL, I find it silly for everyone to have mountains of chips and only throw in a few each betting round. I figure if once in awhile someone like me comes along and adds reds to the table, it 'cleans up the table'. Plus, beleive it or not I find against some players raising their $4 river bet to $8 by throwing in one red chip and three whites causes them to re-think more than if my raise was all white. I'm not saying this is something that I bank on, but it does happen.
I'd suggest sit down with $100 or so. It is possible that you will need to re-buy. The tables can be viciously loose and river suck outs are common. Three bet preflop with 6 people seeing the flop is also not out of the ordinary.

Meh, the more chips the better... people see a lot of chips in the pot and it encourages looseness. If you have a problem with too many chips in front of you, you can always colour up to greens later on. But 200 or 300 white chips is not too many chips to handle.
Besides, it's no fun to play godzilla with single stack of red chips. You want to topple Tokyo, not Toledo.
