I have called a few times.
They still don't have a NL table nor any tournaments planned (that was Friday). When I pressed it a bit, I got no where. It seems that if they have anything planned no one knows about it, or they just don't have anything planned. I guess Limit is doing good enough for them.
Anyone up to taking a day trip to Seneca or Windsor?

I was there last weekend and the brush mentioned they were losing a lot of their high limit action to Fallsview. They are rammed all the time, but I doubt they are making that much as they are having trouble spreading anything but 2-5, 5-10 during the week.

They started 2-5, then discontinued it, then brought it back, and now, it's very popular.
I assume they will keep it around, even when they move the poker room. There will be more tables to accomodate the NL game(s), but I assume it'll stay.
Regarding higher limit games ... I'm there once a week (it'll be Friday this week), during the week, and there's always at least one 20-40 game going, and sometimes two (and these usually have a long wait list).

Someone mentioned it on this forum last month, so I asked when I got there a few weeks ago. The dealers and staff know about it, but don't know when it will happen.
I'll ask again this week, but as many of you know, information is rarely forthcoming until they're ready to give it.

Yeah, the talk there is they want to stay ahead of "Fallsview" and will be introducing no-limit. Moving the whole room next door where the lounge/ ticker screens are , and use the screens as an update to show where one is on there respective waiting lists. They also want to run daily tourneys and/or sit and go style events. When.... anyones guess.

Not sure how they can stay ahead of Fallsview when Fallsview has had NL since they opened in January. I was at Fallsview last night...got there 1.30 PM. Got onto a 6/12 table about 4.45, played until midnight or so, up a couple hundred.
Terrible play. The 6/12 was like Rama 2/5...calling stations everywhere cold calling 2 raises with shit like 58o....frustrating as hell but play long enough and youll make $$. The floor managers were pricks to the dealers and players and you still have to buy chips at the central cashier. The noise from the slots is so irritating but at least there was some music from Club 365 to drown that out. All in all its a beautiful casino/hotel, but the poker room needs work. BTW they had a monster NL game going on...blinds 10/20, they also had the 5/5 game going on. Some real fish at 6/12, a real beatable game, for sure. From my experience, the Brantford 5/10 is a slightly tougher game that the 6/12 at Falls. I think it may have to do with the fact that its a beatiful hotel, people go there to stay, couples etc and want to play poker. ON the other hand...Brantford is definitely not a destination for anyone. Unless they are going to play cards.

I was there last Friday and the dealers are going for no limit training late this month. There is word that they are going to have mini no limit tournys ever wed. and sat, at 9am. They said it would be a couple of months before the no limit is up and running. They are not sure if they will have regular no limit or not? I will be there tonight at around midnight if anyone has any questions let me know. They also plan on having another large scale tourney but they said it will be atleast 2 months away. |
