| Ding Ding - Post Vegas Deals Here
With all the great deals currently available, I thought it might be useful to have a thread where you could post any Vegas deals (via Toronto/Buffalo) that you come across throughout the year. This would be a handy reference source for anyone planning a trip to Vegas in 2009.
I will start things off:
Dec. 14 - Dec 18 - Circus Circus - direct via Toronto on US Airways (no night flights) $350 US (inclusive) on Las Vegas Hotels - Las Vegas Shows - Las Vegas Entertainment | VEGAS.com
Flight 219 - Dec 14 (YYZ) 8:40am - arrive Vegas 10:38AM
Flight 581 - Dec 18 (LAS) 1:44pm - arrive Toronto 8:53PM

I don't know how long it will last, but I got the following hotel quotes from Expedia.ca (including taxes and fees):
- Binion's, $13.28/night, including free Funbook worth $40-$75!
- Stratosphere, $33.98/night.
- Riviera, $37.06/night.

you can thank Blondefish for noting a $13 hotel rate. On vegas.com right now, there are a bunch of hotels for under $15US per night for mid December. Hey Buddy, I beat your $13US rate Not sure what the quality is like or if the location sucks.
Dec 15 - Dec 19:
Buffalo Bills - $9.95/night
Primm - $9.95/night
Whiskey Petes - $13/night
Sams Town - $29/night (second night free) - so basically $15/night
Palace Station - $20/night
Rivera or Stratsophere - $26US/night
If you have some airmiles, you can go to Vegas for $40US for a four night trip!
You can even find prices for Feb now at under $30 US per night.

Tuscany Hotel - This may not be the cheapest but it is very nice with very large rooms. Walking distance from the strip, small poker room with $22.00 morning tournament to start your day. Hotels.com and i4vegas.com are good places to book hotels. I have used them both.
Terribles Hotel and Casino is also worth checking. The food value in the restaurant is amazing. (good with the emphasis on Value)
The deals are always best with a wholesalers such as Hotels.com or i4vegas.com. I have sat in the parking lot outside the Tuscany, using their free internet and booked a room through i4vegas and saved $50.00 on the room that night after checking at the desk.

| The Strat is FAAAAR and you will get mugged/stabbed/crabs walking between it and the Riviera. If you aren't planning on drinking you can get a rental car in Vegas for lie 18 bucks a day.

The IP is the absolute minimum for safety and comfort. And thats if I'm desparate. Save yourself all the hassels involved and book Ballys/Harrahs/Flamingo for a good price. If you're going to Vegas you might as well enjoy it.

I agree totally. Though you may only be in the room to sleep... sleep well. There are enough good bargains in the bigger hotel. Some wholesalers have the room size in SQ FT. I have stayed in the Riviera and even with a non smoking room I felt I was sleeping in a gym laundry hamper. Tuscany is 1 1/2 blocks from the strip low rise, and the rooms are over 600 sq ft. At the right time you can get a room there for $29.00. The same room will cost you from $100.00 to $300.00 on the strip. I repeat this only because it has become my favourite. I was in Vegas for over a year on business and have stayed in many places including 4 months in a condo. (Brought home live dandruff from one place.) Some bargains are more than you bargain for.

The Tuscanny isnt as bad as the Strat or Riv, for both Safety/Cleanliness.
They have a fridge/mic so it is good if you don't want to eat the casino fast food the whole time.
Having walked from there and the Platinum (behind Ballys) you are close to everything including 3 minutes to the tram. However, I wouldnt want to be
staying west of the Strip at Rio. It is a LONG ass walk.
I only took cabs weekend nights as I wasn't worried about getting jacked as much as running into large mob of people partying or really intoxicated Mexicans.
but walking any where north of Circus Circus you start taking your life into your hands
