GBH SUCKS

Just kidding, hey boys,I need some answers, for anyone who normally plays 10-20.I used to be a pretty good limit player before i started playing nl,but the problem is that the last few times i have played at the GBH i have donated like 600$ in less tham 6 hrs .Back when i played 5-10 i would seldom lose 300$and if i did itwould be over like 15hrs.Do u think this is a sighn to step down or keep trying.I drive from belleville so it doesnt make sense to go all the way to gbh to play 5-10,and i have made about 7k online in past few month so i have the role for 10-20.I also could just play oinline but i really enjoy playing live once in a while. And as far as me saying i used to be good ,i made 3k last year playing 3-6,but quitwhen i found out about these crazy nl games. So i wouldnt say i was that great i just thought i maybe better than avg ,but not surre ,maybe not good enough too beat the gbh 10-20 u guys tell me

I'm not sure what others think but have you thought to see if you have any obvious tells. The only reason I suggest this is that you seem to be successful online but at the B&M you're not doing so hot.

Re: GBH SUCKS

in NL you have implied odds to play small suit connectors and other interesting hands.... you dont have these odds in limit

you are likely playing too loose preflop

There are more variance in NL. Limit game is pretty much play with the best hand, dont bother with trying to bluff, live games or online games. Pocket pairs are more useful in NL, where as even 10/10 or JJ can be useless due to the limited raise amount you can put in. More incentives to play suited connectors in limit. Just a few basic things I've found that I need to concentrate on when I jump from limit to NL, or vice versa.

Re: GBH SUCKS

im definitly not playing too many hands i dont usually enter a pot without raising preflop and would never play anying less than aq in first 2 positions,my main question i guess is if there is any regulars that play in that game what kind of swings do u guys have, and should i quit since i have lost around 1ki in past 2 sessions?

Theres so much bad advice in those three simple sentences, you've blown my mind.

Are you a long-term winning player? Only YOU can answer that. If you are, then it's varaince. If yer not, then it's expected value.

BBC Z: Thats what I've generally find when I play on a table where it usually gets to 70% seeing the flop. Thats the only reason I've stated that. I know its not true when it comes to regular games, or more advanced/higher limit games, but those are what I stick by when I play with a loose, low limit tables.
