| My 1st casino poker nite- Windsor Casino Poker palace
I find in casinos you need to play tighter at the NL tables. I am usually one of the loosest players you will play against (calling on suited connectors). On the NL tables I will call bb with high suited connectors or any pair. Once there is a raise to like $20 or so, I better have a pair of 10's or better or AK. Be willing to toss your KK if the flop comes with an Ace. I played in Buffalo where the blinds were 1/2 but the standard raise preflop was to $15 or more. I also played in Vancouver where the blinds were 3/6 and standard raise preflop was $25-50. In both cases, I did see some players play with crap hands, but not like on the 2/4 , 3/6, 4/8 tables. Crap hands like 8 10 unsuited for $50 preflop. One guy called my $200 preflop reraise with KJ, I had KK and I won. I also won a $150 raise after the flop, I flopped a set of 10's (pair in my hand) and board was 10, 4,2. He called wih AK (was he hoping to pair up or runner runner a straight?). I also lost on QQ calling a guys all in for $225 preflop, he had AK. In hindsight I should have just called his $20 bet instead of pushing him to $50 preflop.
Just my 2 cents worth Quote: |
