Sometimes a break is the best thing we can do for our selves. Take a day or two and just relax. It seems like you are trying to force the game at this point. Remember the games that you kicked ass on and do not worry about the losses. Reread your favorite poker material and get your focus back. Relax. Deep breaths. Relax.

Day 11 Update (march 2)
Cumatlive Total: $345.37
I've gone entirely ice cold. I took a day off and have come back. I want to say i'm playing horrible, but i'm not. While I don't like committing all my chips pre-flop, some hands you have to, and i'm getting drawn out. Running really well in the $30 on UB, end up all-in pre-flop with KK, guy with 88 ends up with quads.
Played in the Malamoney tourney, ended up twice with QQ facing AA ... maybe i should be able to detect those better but i can't. Ended up busting out on a blind steal with J9 (standard raise was nearly all-in so i go all-in) . BB calls with J6 and draws out two pair.
I think i'll move back to SNG for a while and try to re-habilitate my game. I'm a full $100 short of my target now, and have very little time actually to get there. I have 5 days, but if i go the way i've been going the last 5 days, i would be lucky to be at break-even.
2-Mar MTT UB Regular $20 limit 12:00am 22.00 22.00 (22.00)
2-Mar MTT UB Regular $30 Guaranteed $9500 10:00pm 33.00 33.00 (33.00)
2-Mar MTT PS Regular Malamoney $10 11:55pm 11.00 11.00 (11.00)

I use to do very very well in the stars $11 turbo satellites, but of late simply don't do well in them. I'm wondering, well actually i'm kinda sure that as my game has changed i am better able to compete in less agressive blind situations.
The question is why? I understand that in theory higher blinds create more luck, but i also consider playing on the short stack (often the case in turbos, in terms of BB) ... to be a very very important skill.
| Let me toss a guess on that.
Your requirements for pushing all-in preflop have increased. In the past, you'd probably push offsuit hands like AT or AJ or smaller pocket pairs like 99 and TT.. Now that you've tightened up, you are pushing in less but the turbo blind structure is more agressive. You land up being stuck busting out in a shortstack pot odds push/call type situation where you likely are an underdog.

Day 13.5 Update (Includes late night Thursday/Friday)
Total Buy-ins: 1,154.30
Total Return: 1,508.92
Net: $354.62
ROI: 31%
I'm getting near the deadline and it seems i've over played my self out of shape. I'm now feeling relatively uncomfortable about my play. I also realised that i have two technical issues to decide in regards to this challenge.
Issue #1: Is my target $450 Canadian or USD. Since at this point i'm short of $450 USD but very close to it in canadian dollars. Most of my play is in USD, except for a net -$15 in canadian from two events. I knew at the beginning that i had left this issue ambigious, thinking i should be able to hit $450 USD which would more closely reflect a buy-in, re-buy and add-on. My worry is that in the last 3-4 days having bled off nearly $300 USD, in tournies and the like, unless i can reach $450 USD, maybe i'm best to take a pass.
Issue #2: Second issue is what is my drop dead date in terms of hitting the target. I've kept the wednesday clear, so in theory should i allow myself right upto tuesday night to meet the target or should i set an actual drop dead line, something like Monday Night (i won't say midnight cause many tournies straddle over that line)
I think i'm going to simply go on a steady diet ratio of 2 SNG / 1 Tourney between now and the end. I'll worry about HU later, in theory i'll get a mixutre of that in during my SNG.
HU PS $5 heads up SNG 10:00am 5.25 5.25 (5.25)
SNG PS Regular $20 SNG 11:00pm 22.00 22.00 54.00 32.00
MTT UB Regular $10 guaranteed $3500 12:00am 11.00 11.00 (11.00)
SNG PS Turbo $6 turbo Two-table SNG 2:00am 6.50 6.50 (6.50)

Final update, as of last night i have achieved the target of my challenge.
I'm up a net $450.57 CDN based on a conservative 1.21 exchange rate (the real rate is a bit better)
That means i've earned enough to cover the buy-in an the add-on which is what my goal was.
I now officially consider the challenge closed. I will likely play some tournies today to prepare for tomorrow, but i won't worry about the results in relation to this challenge.
I am disappointed though that i ended up basicly backing into finishing at the target, after being 250-300 over the target. I started pushing my buy-ins up higher much quicker, because i was feeling confident in my game, maybe i was just getting to agressive.
I did realize one important thing about my own style of play. People say play your game, cause you know yourself best.
I played SNG exactly to my style, pushed huge edges only early and basicly manouvered to survive and get to the money, i monied in 19 out of 40 SNG which is just under the 50% target i had in mind, and even that is a bit off since i played a bunch of $6 turbo SNG on stars trying to experiment with increasing my agression and tended to flame out, remove those test tournies and i was something like 17 for 30.
The problem with taking this SNG success to MTT was that i tried to change my style. I've started realizing that even in a MTT, you can only beat the people at your table. I often got to worried with the average chip stacks in the tourney, and was always keeping my eyes on the big top three prizes. My style of play is better suited to seletive agression and really trying to make it to the money. Once in the money, i find my self more comfortable in exploiting people's agression and really figuring out what people are playing for. I bubbled out (with 10-20 from the money) of three relatively decent MTT two of which were the stars 10:15 re-buy. I had a large stack, and felt compelled to try and build my stack before we got to the money. The style simply doesn't suit me and i think, understanding my own style of play going into the CPT, is the best thing i got out of this challenge. I know the limitations of my game, and udnerstanding those lets me play more comfortably.
So i hope to see everyone at the final table of the CPT (if for no reason than to win my side bet with Gamblor) Another nice side benefit of of me avoiding limit ring games, is that i've been playing some limit omaha high (i know how boring, no PL, no high low) and just been destroying those low limit games for an insane rate, something like 8-10BB/hour but i guess playing 1/2 - 5/10 that may be possible.
