Newb questions

Sorry to ask about basics, but search info was very scattered.

Anyways, with my birthday coming up I'm looking to pop my casino cherry. I just wanted to know which casinos are driving distance from Toronto and what the smallest game is for limit hold'em at each.

Re: Newb questions

Casino Rama, Brantford, and Port Perry are the closest.

Smallest limits:

Brantford: 2-5
Port Perry: 5-10
Casino Rama: Don't know, but I think something around 2-4 or 3-6.

Thanks a lot Scotty. Can anyone confirm the smallest Rama limit?

Re: Newb questions

And one more question I just thought of; are the players equally bad at each place?

Re: Newb questions

very loose 2/5 tables.

And bad players everywhere at that limit.

Re: Newb questions

Rama is 2/5 and very beatable just like Brantford.

There is always Niagara which isn't really a long drive from T.O. They have 5/5 NL at Fallsview. And talk about loose. An experienced player can clean up.

Re: Newb questions

Highly recommend Casino Niagara, lots of real poor play and easy money for the good player.. 2-4 and 3-6 Limit, 1/2 NL and sometimes 2/5NL on weekends.. Good place to start... just don't try to run the table against us "rocks" lol... I've seen so many of the "hotshots" try but invariably they bust out numerous times... Know who your playing against and adjust accordingly...
