Tournaments

Anyone have any news on upcoming tournaments near Toronto (not home games)?Â* I heard of a tournament being held in Niagara (US side) going by the title "CANAM" tournament but there doesn't seem to be any details on the internet for this tournament.Â* The upcoming tournaments at the Great Blue Heron are already full.Â* Looking for a buy-in below $300.Â* Any details would be appreciated.

Thanks for the feedback. Any other members played in this tournament previously? I checked the casino's site for details but it doesn't seem to have any details so I was wondering if it was a legit. tournament. Cheers.

Legit?? lol.... Man it's in the Senica Casino and sponsored by all sorts of bigtime sponsors... It's as legit as can be and VERY well run... NOT penny ante. If you can afford it give it a go but be prepared for REAL poker players. The first one was this past Sunday... 2 more leading up to the final in January.

too bad none of the Ontario Casinos have anything similar. Hopefully this will change in the future. Thanks for your assistance.

What was the blind structure? Were you and your friend able to last for awhile or were the blinds too fast?

1800 in chips starting at 25/25, 30 min blinds. I made it 117 out of 318 at the 4 hr mark. I believe it finished around the 10 hr mark.
