Re: Good Fold or Bad Fold.

No read and he's pushing huge... fold is probably worth it.

A: He re-raises pre-flop.

B: The flop comes complete garbage (unless you're me - 78 looks pretty good), and again he re-raises you.

I figure with no read on him, he's got AA / KK, with a read I may be able to believe he's really overplaying something like AK, but he's gone all in... you're beat.

I may have re-re-raised him pre-flop, not the pot, but perhaps another $3-4 (which you bet on the flop anyways), and if he came over the top AGAIN, well, it's pretty easy to see then.

Re: Good Fold or Bad Fold.

Good fold.

It's tough to lay down an overpair to the flop.Â* My friend St. Martin was in a tournament a month or two ago and he laid down pocket aces on a KJ3 rainbow flop.Â* His opponent showed him pocket jacks.Â* Now, I wasn't at the table, but apparently the guy with the jacks made a big flop check-raise.Â* That's not exactly how you milk a flopped set.Â* Nonetheless, I was very impressed with my friend's laydown.Â* I might have gone broke there.

Back to your hand, there's an expression I've heard before: your opponents are straightforward until proven tricky.Â* In other words, unless you've seen otherwise, it's best to assume that your opponent is a rock, as rocks are IMO the most common type of player out there.Â* So again, good fold.
