| Merge Rakeback
I'm playing at carbon poker and don't have a rakeback. Has anyone tried to get rakeback retroactively or tried switching to another merge room such as aced.com to get rakeback?

I just play on stars and there is no rakeback, just Player Points which you can trade in for money or stuff. I have never heard of retro rakeback, but if you pay a ton of rake (play a lot) it doesn't hurt to ask for something, anything. PokerTracker can calculate how much you are paying to give you an idea of what you are worth to them. Nothing wrong with being a squeaky wheel IMO. You have nothing to lose so the play is +EV.

Your best bet is to send an email to customer support. According to raketherake you can get 30% rakeback at carbon as well as other merge network rooms.
I have rakeback at full tilt which i got retroactively, i sent them a message about getting rb with an existing account and I was put on a list, about 4 months later I got an email saying I would be getting rakeback through an affiliate I had signed up with.
Send them an email, you never know. Why are you playing on merge, and not FT/Stars?

I really like the graphics and fewer players. its amazing how often the tournament guarantees pay out more than the number of participants pay. Huge ev sometimes.

And I too much prefer the softer fields, huge overlay in many of the guarantees, and layout of the merge skins much more that Tilt or stars.
Cash games are slow right now..but as of the 15th of April, the sportsbook move happens...should bring lots of cash play.

Yeah there will be some good promotions on the 15th when play aces joins, including 35% rakeback network wide. Theres also a $100k freeroll coming

There is hi/lo plo. Not very active...but still there. plo high is pretty busy there though.
Funny thing that 100k freeroll...Merge asks it's skins not to talk about it or advertise it until this coming week..yet everyone knows about it and it shows up on the forums..lol It is a welcome, of sorts, to all the new members I guess...
Will be interesting to see what the guarantees do there..hopefully they stay as soft!

The 30 standard is changing to 35 standard wants playaces joins. The skins have already sent out newsletters advertising the 100k freeroll so not really a secret anymore.
Merge network is a pretty good cash game site up to 2/5nl, you can always find tables to play, especially the jackpot ones. Tournament still need a lot of work, but I believe they are making the $50k a freezeout now starting this sunday, which doesn't change much since it played like a freezeout anyways. Should be some pretty big overlay.

WOW...talk about sick overlay!! 1k-3k overlay in all the tourneys over the last two days...the Sunday 50k is looking to be a monster overlay as well.
They added a 1.5k plo guarantee as well...sweeet..
The fish are boiling in the pond...which is great...but damn, it is a minefield out there! lol
The cash tables are very busy now too! Let me know if you want rakeback at Merge..

If you have a good bankroll, you should be playing the mtt's on merge.
